Job Description: Wave Collective is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and creative intern to support our Social Ads team for Spring 2026. This internship is designed for students looking to gain hands-on experience in Meta Ads, digital strategy, and performance reporting. This position is for school credit.
Social Media Advertising Intern Responsibilities & Learning Opportunities:
Note: This role supports our paid social advertising team and provides exposure to the full campaign process, but does not include direct management of ad budgets.
- Assisting with the setup and organization of paid social media campaigns in Meta Ads Manager (audience lists, naming conventions, creative folders, etc.)
- Supporting performance tracking through reporting dashboards, weekly recaps, and data organization
- Researching industry benchmarks, competitor ads, and trends in Meta + TikTok paid media
- Assisting with paid social strategy decks (audience insights, creative trends, best practices)
- Helping organize ad creative assets — UGC, video cuts, stills, messaging variations
- Participating in internal brainstorms around campaign concepts, audiences, and creative direction
- Supporting administrative tasks such as keyword lists, trend/benchmark databases, performance logs, and campaign calendars
- Observing and learning how A/B testing, optimization, and retargeting strategies work within Meta
- Opportunity to attend select content shoots to understand how assets are developed for paid media
Our Ideal Social Media Advertising Intern is:
- Passionate about paid social, digital advertising, analytics, or performance marketing
- Interested in learning Meta Ads from a strategic and analytical standpoint
- Curious about how brands scale through paid media and enjoy breaking down data trends
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment with multiple clients
- Strong communicators with excellent organization skills
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn hands-on
- Familiar with social platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
- Have a basic knowledge of Meta, Google Drive, spreadsheets, and/or reporting tools
- Available 16-31 hours/week (school credit only) and 1–2 in-office days/week in our South Boston office, client shoots, or team meetings

Job Description: Wave Collective is looking to add driven, creative and quick-thinking interns to our social media, creative, and PR and Influencer teams for the Summer 2026 semester. These positions are for school credit.

Social Media Intern (Organic) Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Managing and updating content calendars for multiple brands on different social media platforms
- Designing brand assets for posting (IG stories, graphics, etc.)
- Assisting with social media performance reports
- Assisting with social strategy decks for clients
- Assisting with administrative assignments (holiday calendars, client tracking, etc.)
- Assist and participate with brainstorming and client shot list creation
- Assist with photo/video content shoots (on-site at social client location)
- Avid social media user – up on the latest trends for each social platform (IG, TikTok, FB, etc.)

Content Creation/Creative Intern Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Actively participate in brainstorms, including creative trend research
- Assist with photography/videography content creation shoots for social media (in-studio and on-site at client location)
- Assist with capturing and creating captivating Reels, TikToks and UGC content, as needed
- Work cooperatively with Creative & Social Media teams
- Update and help maintain internal databases for designs, photography, and video
- An interest in gaining experience in short form videography, photography, and graphic design
- An interest in developing skills using creative platforms and software systems. (Ex: Canva and Adobe)
- The ideal candidate has a strong interest in photography or videography and can share examples of social media content that showcase their style, creativity, and understanding of digital storytelling.
PR & Influencer Marketing Intern Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Assist in brainstorming creative pitch angles & drafting corresponding pitches
- Assist with all aspects of our influencer marketing services and ongoing client campaigns
- Begin press release & media advisory drafts
- Update and maintaining media and influencers lists & databases
- Scan for client media coverage
- Assist with media coverage reports
- Assist with campaign reporting and analysis
- Upload events to online calendar listing websites
- Conduct client & competitor research
- Execution of client campaigns/activations, including (but not limited to): event pre-coordination, post-event reporting, PR box assembly
- Dependent on client, there might be opportunities for the PR & Influencer Marketing Intern to assist with evening events
- Proactive consumer of both traditional media outlets (ie. Boston Globe, NY Times, Food & Wine magazine), social media accounts (including influencers & content creators), and podcasts to stay up to date on current trending topics & events locally, nationally, and abroad
- Avid consumer of influencers/content creators on multiple platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Youtube and beyond
- Creative social media user who is up to date on current industry trends/topics
- Please include in your application a recent article or podcast episode you loved, along with three favorite influencer/creator accounts you’re following
Our Ideal Interns are:
- Passionate about public relations, influencer marketing, social media, or content creation, with a genuine desire to learn more
- Available a minimum of 15 hours per week (school credit available) and are able to be in-person 1- 2 days/week in our South Boston office, client photoshoot, or client event
- Pursuing a degree and/or interest in communication, public relations, journalism, marketing, English, graphic design, art, or related discipline
- Creatively driven and organized
- Detail oriented, proactive and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Have a basic knowledge of Google Drive
