Job Description: Wave Collective is seeking an Account Executive to join our social media team. The Account Executive will work closely with other team members to support client initiatives in our fast-paced growing Boston office.
The Social Media Account Executive will play a critical role in the execution of our social media strategy, combining creative, analytical, and administrative skills to enhance our Client’s online presence and engage audiences.
The ideal candidate will be a creative and fast-thinking social media professional, with an understanding and love for digital marketing, impeccable writing skills, knowledge of social media trends and influencer marketing, an interest in content creation, all while looking to excel in a fast-moving environment. This candidate will showcase the proven ability to manage multiple small-to-large-scale social media clients on numerous platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Assist and execute the agency’s client’s social media strategies across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and any other relevant social media platforms, alongside agency Social Media Manager & Social Media Director.
- Perform research on social media trends and audience preferences.
- Social media copywriting and graphic creation for in-feed posts and IG stories.
- Write compelling, on-brand copy for all social channels that demonstrates value and sets the agency’s clients apart from their competition.
- Organize content creation, or produce internally when able, of compelling digital content (still and video) for client social media channels.
- Publish and share engaging content on select social media platforms
- Manage and execute community engagement for clients.
- Assist and execute comprehensive monthly and annual social media reports; along with key learnings for future social media strategies.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of social media marketing experience
- Boston-based
- Deep knowledge of social media tools and platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok
- Ability to edit both photos & videos; and add text when needed
- Open to local travel, including some evenings and weekends as needed for events, to capture social media content on-site at client establishments
- Experience using Canva, Unfold, Videoleap, Capcut or similar apps
- Familiarity with the influencer landscape
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Well-organized, able to work with deadlines
- Excellent project and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Experience in identifying digital and social trends to showcase value-adds for clients
- BS/BA in communications or relevant field

Social Media Intern Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Managing and updating content calendars for multiple brands on different social media platforms
- Designing brand assets for posting (IG stories, graphics, etc.)
- Assisting with social media performance reports
- Assisting with social strategy decks for clients
- Assisting with administrative assignments (blog posts, newsletters, etc.)
- Avid social media user – up on the latest trends for each social platform (IG, TikTok, FB, etc.)
Graphic Design/Creative Intern Responsibilities & Requirements
- Actively participate in brainstorms, including creative trend research
- Assist in designing compelling graphics for posting (IG stories, graphics, in-feed graphics, etc.)
- Assist with photo/video content shoots (in-studio and on-site at client location)
- Assist with capturing and creating captivating Reels and TikToks, as needed
- Work cooperatively with Creative & Social Media teams
- Update and help maintain internal databases for designs, photography, and video
PR (Media & Influencer Relations) Intern Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Updating and maintaining media and influencer lists
- Scanning for client media and influencer coverage
- Assisting with media & influencer coverage reports
- Uploading events to online calendar listing websites
- Assisting with administrative assignments (client research, competitor research, event pre-coordination & post-event reporting)
- Proactive media consumer – from the Globe to Vogue and NPR to “Armchair Expert”
- Avid consumer of influencers on multiple platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Youtube and beyond
- Creative social media user who is up to date on current trending topics/events
Our Ideal Interns are:
- Passionate about public relations/influencer marketing, social media/content creation, with a genuine desire to learn more
- Available a minimum of 15 hours per week (school credit available) and are able to be in-person 1- 2 days/week in our South Boston office or client photoshoot
- Pursuing a degree and/or interest in communication, public relations, journalism, marketing, English, graphic design, art, or related discipline
- Creatively driven and organized
- Detail oriented, proactive and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Have a basic knowledge of Google Drive
