NAUTILUS PIER 4 OPENING

At the end of 2019, Wave began working with The Nautilus in preparation of bringing the popular Nantucket restaurant ashore – the group’s first foray onto the mainland – to Boston’s Pier 4 development in the Seaport District.

To introduce (or re-introduce) Nautilus to the Boston market, 
Wave focused on building a thoughtful and targeted PR strategy, developed foundational press materials, teased the opening to media through the pandemic & construction phase, and oversaw the grand opening launch plan once the restaurant officially opened in March 2021.

For the opening, Wave focused on securing several “first look exclusives” with Eater Boston and Boston Magazine, followed by outreach to media outlets in the local, regional, and national markets. Throughout the opening and the first several months of operating, Wave developed a targeted list of influencers to also invite into the restaurant for ongoing social media coverage.

Within the first year of opening, Nautilus Pier 4 was named one of the “Best of the New” by Boston Magazine, received a 3.5/4 star review by Boston Magazine, named “Best New Restaurants in the World” by Time Out, and “Best New” lists for Eater Boston, Time Out Boston, and Thrillist Boston.
